Seeing Stars Sew Along-Week Two

Welcome to Week Two of the Seeing Stars Sew Along!

We had several new quilty friends join in last week so to those of you who are new around here...WELCOME!

I'm excited to see some blocks popping up this week.

Just a Reminder on how to Stay In The Loop

If signed up, you will receive a weekly email each Monday of the SAL. A new blog post will also go up on Mondays. The emails will include instructions for that week, announce giveaway winners and will sometimes have a video tutorial or tips and tricks that the blog post may not have.

Week Two:

Make two blocks this week and post them to Instagram. Remember to use the hashtag #seeingstarssal. I'll be checking the hashtag regularly and will continue to share your progress in my stories. I loved seeing all of the fabric pulls that you posted last week.

HERE is a printable coloring sheet if you still wish to do some color planning.

This week you will be making some half square triangles (HST's). I like to use a Bloc Loc to help square up my HST's, it has a groove that fits right over your seam so squaring up is super easy. If you'd like to order one, I have a few left HERE.

I've made a quick and (very) informal video to show you why I love my Bloc Loc rulers and how to use them.

Have fun working on these first two blocks, they are a blast to make. I'm making a scrappy version with various fat quarters so it's fun to see how each block turns out because they are all different.
